Unable to RDP a computer with name

Error: The connection cannot be completed because the remote computer that was reached is not the one you specified. This could be caused by an outdated entry in the DNS cache. Try using the IP address of the computer instead of the name.

Solution:

1. Try ipconfig /flushdns from the machine you are trying to RDP

2. If this doesn’t help, login to the machine (through IP address) which is having error and open command prompt. Command prompt -> net time \\primary-domain-controller name /set /y

Now you should be able to RDP the machine with the name
